Cellbox Solutions GmbH, an innovative startup that provides portable CO2 incubators, has formed a strategic partnership with Barkey GmbH & Co. KG, a company with more than 30 years of manufacturing experience in the medical and laboratory technology markets.
This partnership further strengthens the position of both Cellbox and Barkey as solution providers in the Life Science and Biotech sectors. The combination of Cellbox’s technology with Barkey’s expertise in OEM manufacturing expands the global reach and unique value proposition for customers of both companies.

“Manufacturing the Cellbox at Barkey and leveraging their OEM expertise and knowledge will help us to increase productivity and accelerate the development of further innovative products,” says Cellbox CEO Prof. Dr. Kathrin Adlkofer. “We are confident, that we have found the right manufacturing partner to address and satisfy the rapidly growing demand in the market. Together we will be able to provide affected, but often still unaware customers, with existing and novel solutions for live cell transport.”
“From day one, we were impressed with the Cellbox® technology and the implications that it will have for the structures that currently exist in medical logistic procedures. In the time following the conclusion of our agreement and even more so at the start of production, I could almost feel the Cellbox®’s spirit in our facilities. We’re looking forward to a long-lasting and trustful relationship”, says Chris Barkey, Shareholder, Managing Director and Global Business Development Director at Barkey.
