The start-up company is founded on the idea of improving the lives of researchers and patients by providing innovative solutions for optimal transport of living cells and biologic structures. To support our team in Hamburg, we’re currently looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer (M/F/D) – full or part-time

    An exciting opportunity to contribute to the early-stage development of a young company. In this role, you will play a key role in designing and advancing embedded software solutions with a focus on C/C++, Python, Cloud, and IoT technologies. Your work will directly impact the advancement of life-saving therapies by ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our products.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Design, develop and service embedded software solutions using C/C++ and other programming languages.
    • Integrate new features and service existing software for current and future products
    • Ensure software. performance, reliability, and data integrity/ security.
    • Develop and Integrate Cloud and IoT technologies into our products.
    • Integrate data transmission, storage, and analysis in Cloud environments.
    • Ensure connectivity and interoperability of our products within IoT ecosystems.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams internally and externally to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware.
    • Provide support for troubleshooting and optimizing existing embedded software solutions.
    WHAT YOU'RE OFFERING
    • Essential:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • Proven experience in embedded software development with a focus on C/C++ as well as Python.
      • Expertise in Cloud and IoT technologies and protocols.
      • Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.
      • Creative and analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions.
      • Fluent in English, German residency.
    • Desirable:
      • Experience in electronics development, integration and debugging.
      • Experience with agile development methods and rapid prototyping.
      • Expertise related to software requirements for 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
    • Key Competencies:

To support our team in Hamburg, we’re currently looking for a Research and Development Engineer (f/m/d) - (full-time)

    An exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a young company and to lead the mechanical development of the products at the core of Cellbox’s business.

    In this role, you will play a key part in designing and advancing the mechanical hardware of our Cellbox™ devices. You will work closely with our R&D team to translate ideas into tangible solutions from CAD design and technical drawings to prototyping and testing. Your work will directly impact the advancement of life-saving therapies by ensuring the efficient, reliable, and innovative operation of our products.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develop innovative products for relevant live cell logistics needs in collaboration with our experts and external development partners with a particular focus on mechanical engineering and thermodynamic systems (e.g. miniature Peltier heating and cooling units).
    • Design and document mechanical components using SolidWorks 2023, including detailed technical drawings and 3D CAD models that support manufacturing and prototyping.
    • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a Product Data Management (PDM) system, ensuring efficient documentation, version control, and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Plan, execute, follow up and documentation of verification and validation activities.
    • Interact with our partners and customers, ensuring alignment of requirements with product development scope.
    • Participate in nourishing our R&D roadmaps with new product idea and drive rapid prototyping efforts to test and validate new design concepts quickly and effectively.
    • Further develop existing products including change control and product lifecycle management in collaboration with Product Management.
    • Closely cooperate with Production, Quality Management, Business Development, and Marketing stakeholders in realizing the company’s innovation goals.
    WHAT YOU'RE OFFERING
    • Trained engineer with experience in technical product development.
    • Broad knowledge in mechanical engineering, complemented by basic knowledge in electronics, and software development.
    • Hands-on experience in CAD design (SolidWorks 2023), technical documentation, and ideally PDM system implementation or administration.
    • Proven ability to plan and manage own project activities in alignment with other contributors.
    • Relevant experience in Biotech, Medtech or similar fields is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Fluency in English and German
    • Creative and analytical mindset with tinkering and hands-on attitude
    • Willingness to travel occasionally

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Proactively pursue new sales opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets
