On the road again: Human Midbrain Organoids

Thanks to a promising partnership between UPM Biomedicals and Cellbox Solutions as well as the effort of a group of scientists around Dr. Jan Bruder at the Max Plank institute for molecular Biomedicine in Münster, Germany, the feasibility of transporting human midbrain organoids at 37 °C and 5 % CO2 in the Cellbox live cell shipper could successfully be shown. Additionally, the conducted study could prove UPM Biomedicals' GrowDex® wood nanocellulose based hydrogels to be an enabling factor for cell viability in the culturing of these organoids.
