Validation of the Cellbox® for Simulated Transport of a Liver derived Cancer Cell Line
In this application note the performance of the Cellbox Flight CDI was investigated by comparing it to a standard CO2 incubator. Experiments performed at the Fraunhofer IME ScreeningPort assessed the ability of the Cellbox to maintain cultures of HepG2 cells under stationary and simulated transport conditions.

On the road again: Human Midbrain Organoids
Thanks to a promising partnership between UPM Biomedicals and Cellbox Solutions as well as the effort of a group of scientists around Dr. Jan Bruder at the Max Plank institute for molecular Biomedicine in Münster, Germany, the feasibility of transporting human midbrain organoids at 37 °C and 5 % CO2 in the Cellbox live cell shipper could successfully be shown. Additionally, the conducted study could prove UPM Biomedicals' GrowDex® wood nanocellulose based hydrogels to be an enabling factor for cell viability in the culturing of these organoids.
